• Client-Side Analysis Only: All website technology stack detection, CMS analysis, theme inspection, and font identification are performed strictly in real-time within your active browser tab. No page data or URL history is ever sent to external servers.

2. Chrome Extension Permissions

To provide its core functionality, Web Tech Stack & Theme Inspector requests the following permissions:

• activeTab: Required to inspect the DOM structure, script tags, and stylesheets of your current active tab when you open the extension popup.
• scripting: Required to inject lightweight inspection scripts to detect active frameworks (such as React, Vue, Next.js, Web Components/Polymer) and CMS generator signatures.
